Public purchasing educational opportunities are offered during the regularly scheduled TxPPA annual events. TxPPA welcomes speakers for these events and encourages qualified individuals to submit an application for giving presentations during any of the listed workshops or conferences.
TxPPA Call for Speakers / Presentations
The TxPPA Professional Development Committee is seeking qualified speakers for one of the three educational events summarized below. If you are a subject matter expert interested in speaking to our members, please read the Call for Presentations provided below, then complete and submit a Presentation Submission Form.

« Educational offerings and special sessions on legislative issues
« Breakout sessions will be held for specific interest groups (cities, counties, state, school districts, etc.)
« The Momentum Conference at South Padre Island is an established event that has been well-attended for over
10 years
« The National Association of Purchasing Management, Rio Grande Valley (NAPM-RGV) has transitioned this
conference to TxPPA
« This conference will be held in a different location each year in an effort to make educational opportunities more
accessible to every public purchaser in the state
« Educational offerings will include public procurement basics, management, and current topics of interest and concern
« Breakout sessions will be held for specific interest groups
« Annual membership meeting and election of officers
« Achievement of Excellence in Procurement award presentation
